Wings as coverings for eyes: Seraphims, 4 living creatures, Cherubims

 

• Isaiah 6:2 (ESV): "Above him stood the seraphim. Each had six wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew".
• Revelation 4:8 (NIV): "Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around, even under its wings. Day and night they never stop saying: ‘Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty...'".
• Ezekiel 10:12 (NIV): "Their entire bodies, including their backs, their hands and their wings, were completely full of eyes, as were their four wheels".
